Freestyle Cage Fighting 48 takes place on July 23rd at the FireLake Grand Casino in Shawnee, Oklahoma and features a clash for the organization’s 125-pound women’s title as Sarah Maloy takes on defending champ and 5th ranked Super Flyweight by the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings, Sally Krumdiack.

Since winning the title via unanimous decision over Nicdali Calanoc in 2009, Krumdiack (8-4) has yet to defend it. She has fought three other times since for other organizations, going 1-2 in those bouts with one of the losses being a very controversial stoppage to hometown favorite Saori Ishioka at a Jewels event in Japan. She rebounded to win the Legends MMA 125-pound title against Hiroko Kitamura, but lost in her last outing via TKO to Rosi Sexton at Cage Warriors 39. Maloy (2-1) has fought twice for FCF, going 1-1 in those bouts. In December she defeated Charlene Smith via armbar and then in April she lost a very close decision to Avery Vilche. Both Maloy and Krumdiack will not only be looking to get back on the winning track, they’ll also be looking to leave with the gold.
