Fighters’ Only Magazine released it’s nominees for the 2011 World MMA Awards.  The winners will be determined via fan vote and announced in December.

The nominees for Female Fighter of the Year are: Marloes Coenen, Zoila Gurgel, Sarah Kaufman, Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate.

9-3 Maiju “Mai” Kujala (6-3) defeated late replacement Ieva Šležaitė (0-1) via TKO at 2:36 of round one at Carelia Fight 7.

9-3 Lena “Hunter” Ovchynnikova (8-0) kept her record perfect by defeating Eugenia Kostina (0-1) via armbar in the first round at the President’s Cup in Mariupol, Ukraine.

9-4 Pancrase: “Impressive Tour 9” featured a pair of women’s bouts. In a rematch from 2003, Naoko Omuro (11-8-4) and Kayo Nagayasu (7-6-3) fought to a Majority Draw.  The scores were 20-19, 20-20, 20-20. In a bout contested at 70kg, Danielle “The Curse” West (3-2-1) fought to a Split Draw against 4th ranked Featherweight, Rin Nakai (10-0-1). The scores were 29-28, 28-29, 29-29 and

9-4 Sadae “Manhoef” Suzumura (2-1-1) defeated “Bataco” (1-1) via TKO at 5:00 of round 1 at Deep: Osaka Impact.

9-9 Pound-for-pound boxing Queen, Holly “Hottie” Holm (1-0) makes her return to the cage to take on veteran, Jan “Cuddles” Finney (8-9) at Fresquez Productions: “Clash In The Cage” in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

9-9 Michelle “Thundercat” Ould (5-3-0-1) travels to Atlantic City, NJ to battle Munah Holland (2-1) at Ring of Combat 37. This event will be streamed LIVE for $10 at GoFightLive.

9-10 Amanda “Lioness of the Ring” Nunes (6-1), ranked #3 at Featherweight drops down to the Bantamweight division to take on 5th ranked, Alexis Davis (10-4) at Strikeforce: Cincinnati. The prelim bouts, including this one, will be televised LIVE on HDNet starting at 8pm EST, then Showtime will televise the main card starting at 10pm EST.

9-10 Tannaya Hantelman (3-3) and Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau (3-2) square off at Freedom Fight MMA in what will be the first female MMA fight ever held in Ontario, Canada.

9-10 Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman (6-4) and Chelsea “The Italian Princess” Colarelli (5-2) meet at C3 Fights in Newkirk, OK and

9-11 Jewels: “16th Ring” features the quarterfinal matchups for the Jewels Featherweight Queen Tournament (106-pounds). The matchups are:
