Bellator Fighting Championships 51 takes place on September 24th at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in Canton, Ohio and features a Super Flyweight matchup between Casey “KO” Noland and 10th ranked, Jessica “Evil” Eye. This bout will be part of the prelims and will be streamed LIVE on Spike.com starting at 7pm EST, the main card will then air on MTV2 starting at 9pm.
Noland (3-1) began her professional career in August 2010 with a unanimous decision win over Jenny Trujillo, she then followed that up with a TKO victory over Amy Riehle. In June of this year she would travel to Colorado to take on Michelle Blalock, losing via a TKO stoppage late in the second round. Noland would bounce back in July and score a very impressive submission win over Nina Ansaroff. Eye (3-1) made a name for herself fighting for the Ohio-based North American Allied Fight Series promotion. She went 5-0 as an amateur and was their 125-pound amateur champion. She turned pro in June 2010 and scored a TKO victory over Amanda LaVoy, three months later she would defeat Marissa Caldwell via unanimous decision. In February of this year she would venture outside of Ohio to take on Ashley Nee at a Ring of Combat event in Atlantic City, NJ, a bout she would win via a first round TKO. In June, NAAFS would bring Eye back to face off against tough veteran, Aisling Daly for the promotions first ever women’s pro 125-pound title. Eye would dominate in the early going, but during a scramble late in the second round, Daly would lock on a fight ending rear-naked choke to become the champion. Now Eye will look to rebound from her first loss and with talk of Bellator holding a 125-pound tournament in the future, this becomes a very pivotal bout for both fighters.
