Lauren Taylor faces Julia Griffin at ACF: “Tribute to Veterans”

Alaska Cage Fighting: “Tribute to Veterans” takes place on October 28th at the Goldstar Arena inside the Fairbanks Westmark Hotel in Fairbanks, Alaska and features a bout between Lauren “The Pirate” Taylor and Julia Griffin for the vacant ACF 145-pound Women’s Championship.

Taylor (3-0), will be trying to win her second title when she travels to Fairbanks to face hometown favorite, Griffin. In January, at Alaska Fighting Championship 79, she faced off with then champion, Willow Bailey. Taylor would go on and defeat Bailey via TKO in the second round to become the new champion. After starting off her career with two close decision losses, Griffin (2-2) rebounded to win her next two fights, submitting Priscilla White via a rear-naked choke in February and then stopping Heather Painter via TKO in April. With all five of their victories coming via stoppage, it’s doubtful this one makes it to the final bell.
