—Weekend Results—

2-24  Charmaine “Not So Sweet” Tweet (1-2) displayed her improved ground game as she submitted Marshelle Weinberger (0-1) via a guillotine choke at 1:20 of round 1 at Hard Knocks 20.

2-24  DeAnna Bennett (1-0) was very impressive in her pro debut as she stopped Andrea “Killer” Miller (3-7) via TKO at 2:41 of round 1 at Showdown Fights: “Breakout”.

2-24  Emily Green (1-0) scored a TKO victory over Gina “Jitsu” Gallea (0-2) when Gallea was unable to answer the bell for round 2 at FightForce.

2-25  The Instinct MMA: “Instinct 3″ event featuring a matchup between Jessica Branco and Randa Markos was postponed until March 31st.

2-25  Joanne Calderwood (1-0) made history by winning the first ever female mixed martial arts fight in Scotland when she defeated Noelia Molina (0-1) via TKO in round 1 at On Top MMA 4.

2-26  After missing weight badly, Stacy “The Hammer” Hayes (1-1) defeated Chloe Hinchliffe (0-1) at Fury MMA.

—Upcoming Fights—

3-3  5th ranked Featherweight, Yana “Foxy” Kunitskaya (6-1) returns to the cage for the second time in less than a month to take on debutting Anna Melikhova (0-0) at Lion Fights.

3-3  Jewels: “18th Ring” features matchups between Roxanne “The Happy Warrior” Modafferi (15-9) vs Takayo Hashi (13-4), Mika “Future Princess” Nagano (8-6) vs Emi “The Kamikaze Angel” Fujino (10-5), Yuko “Amiba” Oya (6-2) vs Emi Tomimatsu (4-4), Ayame “Iris” Miura (4-0) vs Celine “Hell-Girl” Haga (1-10), with more to be announced this week.

3-3  Angela Magana (11-4) returns to the Flyweight division for the first time in 2 and a half years to battle 9th ranked Carla Esparza (6-2) for the Pandemonium 115-pound Championship at Pandemonium 6. This event will be streamed LIVE and Free on Sherdog website.

3-3  In the most anticipated female fight since Cyborg vs Carano, 2nd ranked Featherweight, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (4-0) makes her Bantamweight debut as she challenges number 1 ranked and current Strikeforce Women’s Champion, Miesha “Takedown” Tate (12-2). This matchup headlines the main card and will be televised LIVE on Showtime starting at 10pm EST.

The undercard will also feature a highly anticipated bout as 3rd ranked, Sarah Kaufman (14-1) and 4th ranked, Alexis “Ally-Gator” Davis (11-4) clash for the #1 contenders spot in the Bantamweight division. The entire undercard will be shown LIVE on Showtime Extreme starting at 8pm EST.
