RFA 2: “Yvel vs Alexander” takes place on March 30th at the Viaero Event Center in Kearney, Nebraska and features a trifecta of female fights as Kelly Warren takes on number 1 ranked 125-pounder, Tara “MFing” LaRosa, while 6th ranked Featherweight Elaina “Beef” Maxwell meets Ashley “Loca” Sanchez. Also on the card, Jessamyn “The Gun” Duke battles Elizabeth Phillips for the RFA 135-pound Amateur title. This event will be streamed LIVE and FREE on Sherdog.com.

Warren (3-2) began her career in 2010 with three straight victories, a decision win over Amanda Lavoy and submission wins over Karina Hallinan and Sarah Lacina. In November 2011 she faced off with top-10 ranked Aisling Daly for the NAAFS 125-pound title and for the biggest part of two rounds, she gave the Irish lass all she could handle before succumbing to an armbar with just seconds left in the round. Three months later she would again face top-10 competition in the form of Jessica Eye, losing via unanimous decision. Now, on short notice, Warren steps up to take on the Queen-pin of the division. LaRosa (20-2), who sports one of the best resumes in all of mixed martial arts, enters the cage for the first time in a year. In her last bout at Shark Fight 14, LaRosa submitted Carina Damm via inverted heel hook. Prior to that bout she defeated Takayo Hashi via unanimous decision to earn the DaMMAge Fight League 125-pound title. In fact, LaRosa has only tasted defeat once in the past 8-years and that was a continuous split decision to Roxanne Modafferi in 2009.

Maxwell (6-4), a three-time San Shou champion transitioned to MMA in 2006 with mixed results, losing three of her first five fights. She then took two-years off to retool her game and has since won four of her past five bouts, including victories over Strikeforce vets, Alexis Davis and Shana Nelson. In her last bout she put on a striking clinic before stopping Angela Samaro via TKO in the third round. Sanchez (4-2) began her career in 2007 also with mixed results, tallying a two and two record. It would be three years before she’d return to face Erin Toughill. Sanchez would go into that bout a huge underdog, however she would dominate the contest in route to an unanimous decision victory. One month later she would face hard hitting Adrienne Seiber and again would walk away with the unanimous decision.

Also, in what is expected to be her last amateur bout before turning pro, Jessamyn “The Gun” Duke meets Elizabeth Phillips for the RFA 135-pound title.
