Bellator 63 takes place on March 30th at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and features a 125-pound matchup between Munah Holland and 8th ranked Marianna “The Crushen Russian” Kheyfets. This matchup headlines the preliminary card and will stream LIVE and FREE at Spike.com. The main portion of the card will be televised on MTV2.
Holland (3-1), a former Golden Gloves boxing champion transitioned over to MMA in 2010 with an unanimous decision victory over Kim Couture. Two months later, she would suffer the only loss of her career to Justine Kish via a second round triangle choke. She would bounce back in her next two bouts, defeating Marissa Caldwell via TKO and Pearl Gonzalez via unanimous decision. Kheyfets (5-0) also made her pro debut in 2010 against Kim Couture, notching a first round submission via triangle choke. In her next bout she scored an unanimous decision over Marissa Caldwell and then followed that up with another victory via triangle choke, this time over Kaline Medeiros. Next she faced off with veteran Molly Helsel, picking up the unanimous decision and in her last bout, she stopped Heather Clark via TKO, when the doctor wouldn’t let the bout continue after the first round.
