Weekly Women’s MMA Review – 7/15

Invicta held a contest this week looking for their “Biggest Fan”. 20 contestants sent in videos in hopes of winning the grand prize: an all expense paid trip for two (2) to the Invicta event on the 28th. Invicta now needs your help to choose the winner. (click here to watch the videos and vote)

—Weekend Results—

7-13   At Matrix Fights 6 in Philadelphia, it was 6th ranked Flyweight Munah Holland (5-1) scoring her second knockout in a row, this time over veteran Carina “Beauty But The Beast” Damm (17-7). The end came at 2:20 of the second round.

7-14   Lisa Ellis (15-8) became the UCS 110-pound Champion by defeating Amy “Lil’ Dynamite” Davis (3-3, 1NC) via an Armbar at 2:14 of round one at UCS: “Caged Combat 6″.

7-14   “Little” Patricia Vidonic (7-3) got back on the winning track as she defeated “Slick” Sally Krumdiack (9-6) via Unanimous Decision at CageSport 20.

7-14   Emma Watson (2-2) and Anna Zucchelli (2-1) had the crowd on their feet for two full rounds, however having only taken the fight on short notice, Watson had nothing left in the tank and was forced to retire between the second and third rounds, giving Zucchelli her second TKO victory in as many bouts.

7-14   Luciana dos Passos Pereira (2-2) evened her record by defeating Gisele Maciel (1-1) via Guillotine Choke at 3:56 of round two at Shooto 32.
