“Women’s MMA Today” gets you caught up on the week that was and the week that will be in women’s MMA.

—News—

Invicta FC 2 is in the books and just like the first event, it was a HUGE success. In fact, it was so HUGE that it crashed one of the server’s causing many to miss the first few fights. Thankfully repairs were made and all were then treated to a fantastic night of mixed martial arts. Also, it was announced that Invicta FC 3 will take place on October 6th and will feature 2 title bouts. In a battle of the top two Unified Ranked Atomweights, #1 Naho “Sugi Rock” Sugiyama faces off against 2nd ranked Jessica Penne for the inaugural Invicta Atomweight Championship. The inaugural Invicta Bantamweight Championship will also be on the line as 4th ranked Sara McMann meets an opponent yet to be announced. The candidates are Alexis Davis, Liz Carmouche, Sarah D’Alelio or Amanda Nunes, all who also won their Invicta bouts.

If you missed any of the Invicta FC 2 fights or would just like to watch them again, the videos are being posted on the Unified Rankings Facebook page. (click here)
