“Women’s MMA Today” gets you caught up on the week that was and the week that will be in women’s MMA.

—Weekend Results—

November 2 – BJJ Blackbelt Sheila Bird (3-0) proved she is just as dangerous standing as she is on the ground by knocking out Christina “Scary” Barry (0-2) in 11-seconds of the first round at AFC 12: “Domination”. This was Bird’s third consecutive victory as a pro, all three have been first round finishes.

November 2 – Puja Kadian (1-0) defeats late replacement Walaa Abas (0-1) via TKO at 3:07 of round two at SFL 7.

November 3 – Anna Zucchelli (3-1) picked up her third TKO victory in a row by stopping Chloe Hinchliffe (1-3) in the second round at AON 4: “Best of the Best”.

—Upcoming Events—

November 9 – Tracy Lockwood (0-0) and Deepika (0-0) make their pro MMA debuts at SFL 8. This event will be streamed LIVE starting at 11:30am ET on SFL’s Youtube channel.

November 10 – Shino VanHoose (3-1) trys to bounce back from the first loss of her career against Sadae “Manhoef” Suzumura (3-1-1) at Pancrase Progress Tour 12.

November 10 – Elina Nelson (2-3) faces Helin Paara (1-1) at The Zone FC 11: “Survival” and

November 10 – After compiling an 8-0-1 record as an amateur, Tamikka “Boom Boom” Brents (0-0) makes her long awaited pro debut against Jessica “Raising Havoc” Halverson (3-1) and in the main event, Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger takes on an opponent TBD at Fight Hard MMA.
