Due to an injury sustained by Claudia Gadelha, Australia’s Bec “Rowdy” Hyatt now finds herself in the main event title bout against Carla “Cookie Monster” Esparza at Invicta FC 4. Hyatt’s original opponent, Joanne Calderwood, will now face Austrian striker Livia “T-Rex” von Plettenberg. The event starts at 7pm ET and will be available for purchase for only 7.95 at InvictaFC.com.

December 24 –  In what may have been her final bout, 2nd ranked Strawweight Megumi “Mega Megu” Fujii (26-2) picked up a hard fought Unanimous Decision victory over 7th ranked “V.V” Mei Yamaguchi (10-5-1) at Vale Tudo Japan 1 and

December 29 –  Pannie ”Banzai” Kianzad (3-0) stopped the very game Lina Länsberg (0-1) via TKO late in the third round at Trophy MMA 1 in Sweden.

December 31 –  At Cage Warriors 51, 6th ranked Strawweight Katja Kankaanpaa (6-0-1) takes on 8th ranked Flyweight Aisling “Ais the Bash” Daly (13-4) in a 120-pound catchweight bout. The event will be streamed LIVE starting at 4pm ET on MMAjunkie.com.

December 31 –  Top ranked Featherweight Marloes “Rumina” Coenen (20-5) meets 8th ranked Fiona Muxlow (6-1) at Dream.18: Special NYE 2012. The Glory 4 kickboxing portion of the event will air at 10pm ET on December 31 on CBS Sports Network (DirecTV channel 613), while the Dream.18 MMA rules bouts will be broadcast one night later on January 1 at 10pm ET.

January 5 –  Invicta FC 4 takes place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas and is headlined by the inaugural Invicta FC Strawweight Championship bout between Carla “Cookie Monster” Esparza and Bec “Rowdy” Hyatt.
