“Women’s MMA Today” gets you caught up on the week that was and the week that will be in women’s MMA.

—Weekend Results—

February 28 –  Pound-for-Pound Boxing Queen, Holly “The Preachers Daughter” Holm (3-0) made a triumphant return to the cage with a second round TKO victory over Katie Merrill (1-1) at Bellator 91.

March 1 –  Lauren Taylor (5-0) remained unbeaten with a first round TKO stoppage of Jennifer Scott (2-3, 1NC) at Legacy FC 18. All five of Taylor’s victories have come via (T)KO.

March 1 –  Nina “The Stina” Ansaroff (4-3) picked up her third consecutive win with a TKO in the second round over Trisha Clark (2-7) and Marciea “Black Widow” Allen (2-1) got back in the winners circle with a first round TKO victory over Ashleigh Curry (1-3) at Centurion Fights.

March 2 –  The crowd was treated to four exciting fights in the 8-woman Featherweight Tournament at CFA 10. Fallon Fox (2-0) got things started with a 39-second KO over Ericka Newsome (0-2), while Ashlee Evans-Smith (1-0) advanced via unanimous decision over Tori Adams (1-1). Peggy “The Daywalker” Morgan (2-0) picked up a hard fought unanimous decision over Revelina “Nana” Berto (3-1) and Kelsey De Santis (0-1) dropped a close split decision to Allanna “Hands of Stone” Jones (2-1). —Upcoming Bouts—

March 8 –  In the promotions first ever women’s bout, Kailin Curran (0-0) makes her pro debut against Kaiyana Rain (0-1) at PXC 36 in Guam.

March 9 –  Both Lina “Linx” Eklund (2-2) and Marzena Wojas (0-2) look to rebound from losses in their last outings when they face-off at IRFA 4 in Sweden.

March 9 –  Daniela Cristina (0-0) makes her pro debut against former boxing champion “Diamond” Duda Yankovich (0-1) at Bitetti Combat 14 in Rio de Janeiro and

March 9 –  Nikita Netjes (0-1) meets Jozette Cotton (1-0) at DCMMA 17: “St Patty’s Showdown 3”.
