“Women’s MMA Today” gets you caught up on the week that was and the week that will be in women’s MMA.

—Weekend Results—

March 28 –  At Bellator 94, Jessica “Jag” Aguilar (15-4) had a much tougher fight this time around, eking out a contentious split decision victory over Little” Patricia Vidonic (7-5). Aguilar was dominate in their original encounter in February 2010, winning via unanimous decision. In the other women’s bout on the card, Felice “Lil’ Bulldog” Herrig (9-4) also scored a split decision victory over arch-rival “Hurricane” Heather Jo Clark (5-4). After the bout it was learned that Clark had broken her arm in the second round and would require surgery to repair it.

March 28 –  Not wanting to stand and strike with the four-time world Muay Thai champion, Randa Markos-Thomas (2-0) quickly took Ashley Nichols (0-1) to the mat and submitted her via a first round armbar at Wreck MMA 2.0.

March 29 –  Colleen “The Beautiful Disaster” Schneider (4-4) used her size and superior ground game to wear down Sanja Sucevic (4-2), eventually submitting her with a keylock at 2:54 of the third round at SFL 14. In the process she also won the SFL Women’s Flyweight title.

March 30 –  Quick Results for Jewels: “23rd Ring”:
Mika “Future Princess” Nagano (12-8) defeats Emi Tomimatsu (5-6) via Unanimous Decision
Celine “Hellgirl” Haga (4-11) defeats Naho “Sugi Rock” Sugiyama (8-2) via Unanimous Decision
Mizuki Inoue (5-1) defeats Seo Ye Jung (0-1) via RNC at 1:43 of round 1
Shizuka Sugiyama (9-3) defeats Sung Eun Kim (0-2) via TKO at 1:01 of round 1
