“Women’s MMA Today” gets you caught up on the week that was and the week that will be in women’s MMA.


The new history-making season of The Ultimate Fighter is only days away. The premiere episode which airs on September 4th at 10pm ET on Fox Sports 1 will feature 16 fights to determine the eight men and eight women who will be divided into teams coached by UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey and her arch-rival Miesha Tate.

September 6 –  Susy Watson (0-0) makes her pro debut against Kathina “Kill Switch” Catron (3-3) at XFN 14: “The Uprising”.

September 6 –  At XFC 25: “Boiling Point”, Stephanie “The Scrapper” Skinner (2-4) squares off against Angelica “South Valley’s Own” Chavez (4-2) in Atomweight action and Angela Magana (11-5) faces Stephanie “Snowflake” Eggink (3-1) for the inaugural XFC Strawweight title. This event will air live on AXS.tv starting at 10pm ET.

September 7 –  Germany’s Ania Fucz (1-0) takes on an opponent yet to be determined at Champions Night 4.

September 7 –  In Brazil, Karolline Rosa Cavedo (1-0) meets Mylena “Madu” Duarte (0-0) at HCC 13.

September 7 –  Lithuania’s Julia Stoliarenko (0-1) travels to Finland to face Eeva Siiskonen (2-0) at Carelia Fight 9.

September 7 –  Multi-time kickboxing champion Lena “Hunter” Ovchynnikova (9-2) takes on Alexandra Guseva (0-1) at TGS Fight Club in Lviv, Ukraine.

September 7 –  Paloma Fabrykant (3-0) looks to remain undefeated against fellow Argentinean Denise Boifer (1-0) at Heroes MMA 2.

September 7 –  LeAnn “Lights Out” Amundson (0-0) makes her pro debut against hometown favorite Jessica “Black” Doerner (4-2) at Magic City Mayhem 3 and

September 7 –  Colleen “Bisquit” Schneider (4-4) goes for her fourth consecutive victory when she faces off with Christina Marks (4-6) at Submission Championship MMA 3.
