“Women’s MMA Today” gets you caught up on the week that was and the week that will be in women’s MMA.

—TUF News—

Last week’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter featured the coaches challenge which this year was rock climbing. After an extremely close race to the top, it was Ronda ringing the bell first and collecting the $10,000 prize. The episode was to also feature the second semi-final men’s bout between Team Rousey teammates Anthony Gutierrez and Davey Grant, however Gutierrez was unable to make weight thus giving Grant the victory via default. Now, Grant moves on to the finale to face Team Tate’s Chris Holdsworth for the 6-figure contact and title of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. This week Jessica Rakoczy of Team Rousey battles Team Tate’s Raquel Pennington to determine who faces Julianna Pena on the finale for the 6-figure contact and first ever women’s title of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. TUF airs Wednesday night at 10pm ET on Fox Sports 1 and then be sure and tune in on Saturday the 30th for the TUF 18 Finale. Preliminary bouts start at 8pm ET followed by the main card at 10pm, both on Fox Sports 1.
