Pancrase: “Impressive Tour 9” takes place on September 4th at the Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Japan and features undefeated Rin Nakai battling UK’s Danielle “The Curse” West and Naoko Omuro facing off in a rematch with Kayo Nagayasu.
Nakai (10-0), ranked 4th at Featherweight has not fought since December 30th, 2010 when she quickly submitted an overmatched Mika Harigai at SRC: “Soul of Fight”. Prior to that, she captured the Valkyrie Open-Weight title in November by defeating Mizuho Sato via doctor stoppage at the end of the first round. West (3-2) was in Japan to fight on the Jewels “12th Ring” card in March, but that event was cancelled when the massive earthquake struck the country. In her last bout in May she took a match against Muay Thai champion, Eline Nilsson at The Zone FC in Sweden. It was a spirited contest, but unfortunately she would suffer a TKO loss late in the second round. Now, she heads back to Japan to take care of unfinished business.
Also on the card, Omuro (11-8-3) faces off with Nagayasu (7-6-2) in a rematch from 2003 that saw Omuro get the victory via split decision.
