–  Cage Warriors and MMAjunkie announced an exclusive live event partnership for 2012. This means that all 16 Cage Warrior events will be streamed LIVE and FREE on the MMAjunkie website, including the highly anticipated 4-woman 125-pound tournament featuring Rosi Sexton, Aisling Daly, Sheila Gaff and an opponent yet to be announced.

—Weekend Results—

1-21  Olympic Silver Medalist and 9th ranked Bantamweight, Sara McMann (5-0) used her superior wrestling skills to dominate submission specialist and 5th ranked Hitomi “Girlfight Monster” Akano (18-9) at ProElite 3: “Grove vs Minowa”. McMann was relentless with her takedowns and powerful slams, then working her ground-n-pound from top position. Akano was active from the bottom and attempted several submissions, but McMann stayed calm and defended well and was never really in any danger. All three judges saw it in McMann’s favor, 30 x 27.
