Team Aguilar Celebrates Win at Bellator 69

Invicta FC has officially announced four additional bouts to their second event scheduled for July 28th at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. Joining the previously announced main event of Shayna “Queen of Spades” Baszler (14-6) vs 5th ranked Sara McMann (5-0) will be:
Bantamweight – Amanda “Lioness of the Ring” Nunes (6-2) vs Milana Dudieva (8-1)
Bantamweight – 9th ranked Vanessa Porto (14-4) vs Kelly “Blood Red” Kobold (18-3-1)
Strawweight – 5th ranked Carla Esparza (6-2) vs Sarah “White Tiger” Schneider (6-5)
Flyweight – Jocelyn “Lights Out” Lybarger (0-0) vs Cheryl Chan (0-0)
—Weekend Results—
5-17 Fallon Fox (1-0) was successful in her pro debut, defeating Elisha Helsper (0-3) via TKO in round 1 at KOTC: “Wild Card”.
5-18 In what was the biggest win of her career, 2nd ranked Jessica Aguilar (14-4) out-pointed number 1 ranked Megumi Fujii (25-2) at Bellator 69. It was Fujii who held an edge early on in the fight with a takedown near the cage, but Aguilar battled back to her feet and stole back the round on the judges’ scorecards with late strikes. Aguilar kept the fight standing in round two and survived a strong final round from Fujii to take the unanimous decision win, 29-28 on all three scorecards.
5-18 Meg Gallagher (2-0) picked up her second win as she defeated Erin Nota (0-1) via unanimous decision at King of the Cage 2.
5-18 Karolina Kowalkiewicz (1-0) made an impressive pro debut as she stopped Marzena Wojas (0-1) via TKO at 3:12 of round 1 at EFS 2.
5-19 Joanna Jędrzejczyk (1-0) was also successful in her pro debut, defeating Sylwia Juśkiewicz (0-1) via unanimous decision at MMA Fight Night Diva SPA.
5-20 At Pancrase Progress Tour 6, 3rd ranked Atomweight Kikuyo Ishikawa (7-3) defeated Shino VanHoose (3-1) and 5th ranked Featherweight Rin Nakai (11-0-1) defeated Kyoko Kimura (2-1-1) via first round armbar in a Bantamweight bout.
