The Unified Women’s MMA Rankings for May have now been released and with her fourth round submission victory over Jessica Penne, Michelle Waterson now takes over the top spot at Atomweight. Simona Soukupova makes her way into the rankings with her victory over Cassie Rodish. With another win under her belt, Joanne Calderwood continues her climb towards the top of the Strawweight division and at Flyweight, Barb Honchak takes over the #1 spot with her victory over Vanessa Porto. Jennifer Maia also moves up the Flyweight rankings with her win over Zoila Gurgel and Rosi Sexton drops out due to inactivity/vacating the division. In the Bantamweight division, Cat Zingano leaps six spots with her impressive stoppage of Miesha Tate and Sara McMann cements her position in the top-5. After serving out her suspension, Cris Cyborg returns to the rankings with her win at Invicta and Germaine de Randamie drops out due to vacating the division.
