11-18 In a bout between top-10 Featherweights, it was 9th ranked “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (4-0) claiming another sub-minute armbar submission as she defeated 6th ranked Julia “The Jewel” Budd (2-2) in just 39 seconds. All four of Rousey’s wins have come within a combine total of 138 seconds.
11-18 Tandi “Tandilion” Schaeffer (2-0) suffered a broken eye socket in the first round, but fought through the pain and won a hard fought unanimous decision over Amanda LaVoy (2-5) at Showdown Fights: “Evolution”. Schaeffer had successful surgery today and is already looking forward to getting back in the cage.
11-18 Angela Hayes (5-6) defeated Trisha Clark (1-5) via guillotine choke at 1:10 of round one at NME Fighting: “Annihilation 36″.
11-18 In her pro debut, Ashley “Smashley” Cummins (1-0) became the new XFL Women’s 115-pound Champion by defeating Chelsea “The Italian Princess” Colarelli (6-4) via a rear-naked choke at 1:41 of the fifth round at XFL: “Xtreme Fight Night”.
11-19 The scheduled Flyweight bout at Bellator 58 between 3rd ranked Lisa Ellis (14-7) and 2nd ranked Jessica “Jag” Aguilar (12-4) became a catchweight affair when Aguilar missed weight for the first time in her career. Aguilar would go on to take the victory by out-slugging Ellis in a three round war.
11-19 Bushido Women’s Champion, 7th ranked Yana “Foxy” Kunitskaya (5-1) defended her title by defeating Arune Lauzeckaite (0-2) via TKO at 1:35 in the first round at Bushido: “Hero’s World GP Lithuania”.
11-19 Hatice Ozyurt (1-0) won her pro debut over Lena Buytendijk (0-2) via unanimous decision at Battle Under the Tower in Steenwijk, Netherlands and
11-20 Jasminka “Holy Terror” Cive (4-0) defeated Lilla Vincze (0-2) via a second round TKO at Cage Fight Series 6.
