Daly vs Warren, Eye vs Scott at NAAFS: “Night of Champions”

NAAFS: “Night of Champions” takes place on Wednesday, November 23rd at the Canton Civic Center in Canton, OH and features two women’s pro bouts in the Super Flyweight division as 8th ranked Aisling “Ais the Bash” Daly defends her NAAFS Women’s 125-pound Championship against unbeaten, Kelly Warren and Jennifer “Superstar” Scott faces off with 9th ranked, Jessica “Evil” Eye. Also on the card in amateur action, Rachel Dovidio battles Evva Johnson for the NAAFS Women’s Amateur 135-pound Championship.

In June, Daly (12-2) faced off against then unbeaten Jessica Eye for the NAAFS Women’s 125-pound Championship. Eye would get the best of Daly in round one, but the Irish lass would bounce back in round two and lock on a fight ending rear-naked choke at the 4:00 mark. In September, Daly would travel to Amman, Jordan, were she would submit Angela Hayes in just 20 seconds via a first round armbar. Now, Daly returns to the NAAFS cage to make the first defense of her title against Kelly Warren. Training out of the framed Jackson’s MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Warren (3-0) brings an undefeated record into this title fight. She began her pro career in July 2010 with a unanimous decision over Amanda LaVoy, three months later she followed that up with a first round submission victory over Karina Hallinan. In June of this year, she stopped Sarah Lacina via a second round arm-triangle choke to remain unbeaten.

In her Bellator debut, Eye (4-1) bounced back from her first loss to Daly with a hard fought split decision victory over the very game, Casey Noland. The bout was mostly a stand-up war with Eye clearly winning two of the three rounds, however while two of the judges scored it 29-28 for Eye, one judge mysteriously had it scored 29-28 for Noland, which even seemed to surprise even Noland herself. With the win, Eye is now rumored to be a part of the upcoming Bellator 125-pound women’s tournament in 2012. Scott, (2-1, 1NC) won her professional debut with a TKO victory over Kelmy Jasso in the first round, she then followed that up with a split decision victory over Timisha Jones. In April of this year, she would lose for the first time to Heather Clark via a second round TKO. The winner of this matchup could be next in line for a shot at the NAAFS title.
