Chris Vender, owner of Fury MMA Management, announced the signing of Brazilian standout Vanessa Porto today. Porto began her pro career in 2005 and holds an impressive 13-4 record, including victories over such notables as Tonya Evinger, Hitomi Akano and Germaine de Randamie. In her last bout in October 2011 against then undefeated Jennifer Maia, Porto picked up the win via a second round armbar. The Unified Women’s MMA Rankings currently have Porto ranked 8th in the Bantamweight division. Vender is presently in negotiations to have Porto compete in the states in April.
